Papena was founded in 2022 by sisters Emily and Chloe, with a shared vision of bringing something truly special to the heart of Chester. We felt there was a place for a boutique offering carefully curated fashion pieces that aren't found everywhere else and that help every woman feel confident, stylish and special.

Although Papena opened its doors in 2022, our journey in women's fashion began in 2017. Since then, we've built our experience around one simple belief, beautiful clothing should make you feel as good as you look.

Emily's path into retail was anything but ordinary. At 18, she left home to work on luxury superyachts, travelling the world and experiencing exceptional levels of customer service. When it came time to settle down and start a family, she returned home to Chester to build a business that reflected her passion for quality, attention to detail and creating memorable customer experiences.

Chloe has spent her career in retail and has an exceptional eye for fashion. After studying in Cardiff, she settled in North Wales, where she lives with her two daughters. She has a natural talent for discovering distinctive collections and timeless pieces that stand apart from the ordinary.

Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, we grew up understanding the importance of hard work, genuine relationships and creating businesses that customers love to return to. Those values continue to shape everything we do at Papena.

Every collection is personally selected by us. We don't simply follow trends, we choose garments that are beautifully made, flattering and unique, with the aim of helping every customer leave feeling confident and excited about what they're wearing.
